Youghal had a deserved 30-10 home win over struggling St. Mary’s.Tries from Aidan Daly and Kenneth Forrest and two conversions and two penalties from Mark Walsh gave the home side a 20-3 half time lead. Jason Russell kicked a penalty for the Limerick side. Simon Pymm added a third try and Walsh a conversion and penalty, before the visitors were awarded a late penalty try, which Russell converted.

Clonmel kept in contention with a deserved 28-7 win at home to Youghal. It was 16-7 at half time with Mark Normile scoring a try and Alan Early kicking a conversion, drop goal and two penalties to a try from Sean Barry which Mark Walsh converted. . Paul Purcell and John Harney added second half tries and Early kicked a conversion.

Youghal moved off the foot of the table in the First Division of the Heineken Munster Junior League, with their first victory of the season after they defeated St. Senan’s 23-9.The Clare side opened the scoring with a drop goal from Shane Markham after five minutes, but Youghal were level a minute later with a penalty from Mark Walsh. Markham kicked a penalty on 28 minutes to give his side a 6-3 half time lead.Markham and Walsh exchanged penalties before two tries from Aidan Daly and one from Colin Mulcahy in the final minutes, one of which Walsh converted secured the points for the East Cork side. Nenagh Ormond have opened up a four point gap at the top of the First Division after their 34-13 win at home to Youghal. Ian Ryan put them ahead with a try, which Liam Delaney converted. Mark Walsh kicked a penalty for the visitors, but tries from Michael Walsh and Delaney to a second Walsh penalty made it 17-6 to the Tipperary side at half time.The winners added further tries from Delaney, Walsh and Derek Corcoran to one from Brendan Murray for Youghal, which Walsh converted.

Kilfeacle led 16-3 at the break with tries from Eddie Grace and Ger Breen and two drop goals from Mark Hanly to a Mark Walsh penalty. Further tries from Breen and Packie Bourke and a conversion and penalty from Mark Burke made sure of all five points for the Tipperary side. In an exciting East Cork derby, Cobh Pirates won the spoils with a 23-12 win over Youghal. Brendan Ronan scored a try and two penalties for an 11-9 interval lead. Mark Walsh replied with three penalties for the home side.The Pirates dominated after the break and went further ahead with tries from Bret Amberson and Ian Dunne, one of which Ronan converted. Try as they might, they failed to get the all important fourth try as Youghal's only reply was another Walsh penalty.

Terry Dillon got off to a bad start as Youghal's coach, when the First Division side went down to Ennis 20-17. A penalty and a drop goal from David Murphy put the home side 6-0 ahead. A try from Eric Buckley converted by Mark Walsh made it 7-6 to Youghal and a second try by Alan Fox, converted by Walsh extended Youghal's lead. Colin Murphy scored a try for Ennis, which David Murphy converted to leave them trailing by a point at half time. Walsh extended Youghal's lead with a penalty, but a try from John Delea, converted Murphy gave Ennis victory.
